Medicare Open Enrollment

Medicare’s annual open enrollment period marks the time of year you can join, switch, or drop a Medicare Health Plan.

Learn more about open enrollment periods on the Medicare.gov website: Joining a health or drug plan

There are different types of Medicare health plans and some have different enrollment periods. For example, the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period is from January 1 – March 31 each year.

There are also special enrollment periods for folks with special circumstances. For example, if you change where you live, you lose your current coverage, you have a chance to get other coverage, and more.
