Sometimes life’s challenges can affect our mental health. Knowing who to speak to, can make all the difference in the world!

Did you know the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging (NCTAAA) offers FREE services that help people turn struggles into real solutions? By shining a light on preventative measures they help real people find real solutions! They provide health and social services to older adults and their family caregivers. Their mission is to help people be as healthy and independent as possible. Services include: healthy living classes, workshops, meals, transportation, benefits counseling, in-home services, caregiver support, and much more.

Check out these real-life examples:

  • A homeless senior who had been getting his meals at a local senior center was referred and within two weeks was moved into suitable housing AND receive help with his diabetes medicines.

  • One couple struggling last year with medication expense was referred and they are now able to take all medicines as required and are also receiving other benefits they never knew were available.
