October 15 – December 7, 2022 is the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period. This is prime time for scammers to be at work, but it is also a time for us to be on high alert. We will discuss information important for you during this enrollment period to help reduce your chance of being a victim of fraud, errors, or abuse.

Melinda is certified by the Texas Health Information Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) as a Benefits Counselor for over 11 years. The Benefits Counseling Department staff work with older adults and their caregivers to help them understand Medicare, Social Security, and other benefits. She also assists the Better Business Bureau Education Foundation in educating individuals about fraud and scams.
